Funeral services, celebrating the life of Rose Louise McDole, 89, of Newark, will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, July 31, 2020 in the chapel of The Kirkersville home of HOSKINSON Funeral and Cremation Service, with Pastors Bob Beyers and Carol Kirk as co-celebrants. Burial will follow in the Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens, Columbus. The family will receive friends on Friday from 12 Noon until time of the funeral service at 2:00 p.m., at the funeral home, 285 East Main Street in Kirkersville. Rose, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Saturday evening, July 25, 2020, following a long illness. She was born February 10, 1931 in Columbus, the daughter of the late Carl C and Ruth (Albourn) Regan. Rose was an avid walker, enjoyed reading, and at one time was an active member of the Pataskala United Methodist Church where she served as Treasurer and secretary. She is survived by her family: her sons Gerald (Debbie) Hughes, son Ernest Hughes Jr.; grandchildren Mary & Jeff Vannest, Misty and Anthony Lorenzo, Mindy and Chase Mason, Aubrey Hughes and Jimmy Hughes; several great grandchildren; her brother Jerry Regan and her sister Frances Thompson; along with many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers Harold, Jack,Melvin and Don (infant) and her sisters Jean, Patty and Iona. The family prefers that instead of flowers, please consider a contribution in her memory to Interim Hospice, 900 Sharon Valley Road, Newark, Ohio 43055, who took such great care of Rose. They are also grateful to the loving and caring staff at Newark Health Care for their wonderful attentive care of Rose in her illness.
