Rose Eleanor Stimmell

Funeral services, celebrating the life of Rose E. Stimmell, 87, of Hebron, will be held on Thursday, June 24, 2021 in the chapel of the Kirkersville home of HOSKINSON Funeral and Cremation Service, with Pastor Rob McCormick as celebrant. Rose will be laid to rest next to her husband Billy Stimmell in the Kirkersville Cemetery. Family will receive friends on Thursday morning from 10:00 a.m. until time of the service at 12 Noon in the funeral home, 285 East Main St. in Kirkersville.

Rose passed away on Sunday afternoon, June 20, 2021 at her home with her family at her side. She was born November 24, 1933 in Morgantown. W.V., the daughter of the late William Arthur and Carmelita Jane (Revelle) Cyphert.

She retired after a long career in the catalog department at J.C. Penney’s in Heath. She loved reading and working crossword puzzles, along with gardening and canning. She was known for her homemade spaghetti sauce, so good that even the cat loved it! She also enjoyed watching old Westerns and her game shows.

She is survived by her loving family: children Roger (Mary) Stimmell, James (Lisa) Stimmell, Larena Stimmell and Judy McKinley; her 11 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Billy in November 2017, and her siblings John, William Jr. and June.

The family prefers that memorial contributions in her memory be directed to Heartland Hospice 116 Morris Rd B, Circleville, Ohio 43113. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
