Rosemary Marie Vest

A funeral service celebrating the life of Rosemary Marie Vest, age 82, of Newark, will be held at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, January 8, at Criss Wagner Hoskinson Funeral Home with Pastor Wes Humble officiating. A graveside service will follow at 1:00 p.m. at Springer Hill Cemetery near Moxahala (Perry County).

Friends may call from 6-8 p.m. on Friday, January 7, at the funeral home, 179 Granville Street in Newark.

Rosemary was born October 27, 1939 in West Jefferson, Ohio to the late Clemie and Ruby (Shipley) Moore. She passed away on Sunday, January 2, 2022 at Licking Memorial Hospital.

Rosemary was an accountant for Briscoe Mfg. in Columbus for many years. She was an excellent caregiver for her husband. She enjoyed the music of Charlie Pride and Conway Twitty, and also enjoyed watching Westerns, and loved cats. She was known to make a mean potato salad.

She is survived by three sons, Mark (Julie) Vest, Ed (Ann) Vest, and Chad Vest, all of Newark; grandchildren, Lisa (Danny) Nester, Cecelia (Matt) Garcia, and Josh (Haley) Vest; great-grandchildren, Jayden Nester and Marisol Garcia; sister, Sheila Dube of Pickerington; and many beloved nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Edmond Lee Vest in November of 2013; and by by her brothers, Charles, Jack, Freddy, Carl and Harry; and sisters, Jeannie, Wanda, Pearl and Sue.
