A funeral service for Rowland “Wendall” Dunlap will be held at 11am, on Friday, August 13, 2021, at the Criss Wagner Hoskinson Funeral Home in Newark. Pastor Doug Dunlap will officiate. Burial will follow in Spring Grove Cemetery. Family and friends may call from 4pm-8pm, on Thursday, at the funeral home. Mr. Dunlap, 90, of Heath, passed away Monday, August 9, 2021, at Licking Memorial Hospital. He was born October 12, 1930, in Newark, a son of the late Elmer A. and Beulah (McCracken) Dunlap. A veteran of the Korean War, he had served in the US Army and had worked for 37 years at Owens Corning Fiberglas. Surviving are his wife of 64 years, Joyce J. (Henry) Dunlap, who he married May 10, 1957; children, Michael (Gloria) Dunlap, Susan Dunlap, Steven (Bekki) Dunlap; grandchildren, Jason (Stephanie) Hall, Troy (Jennifer) Cashdollar, Brent (Jennifer) Stokes, Brandi Stupica Dunlap, Lauren (Anthony) Sciacchitano Dunlap, Tristen (Danielle) Dunlap and Ryan Dunlap and 10 great-grandchildren; two brothers, David (Becky) Dunlap, Jeff Dunlap and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Elmer Dunlap, Jr., Paul Dunlap, Dale Dunlap, Jerry Dunlap, Robert McCracken and sister, Dottie Streacker.
