Roy Estil Sims, 82, of Hebron, died Monday afternoon, February 27, 2017, after a brief illness. He was born May 18, 1934, in Greenbriar County, West Virginia, the son of the late Russell D. and Mary Jane (Boggess) Sims. He served honorably in the US Air Force, and worked his entire career for Kaiser Aluminum in Heath. He attended the Licking Baptist Church, was a member of Hebron Masonic Lodge #116; and enjoyed playing his guitar, banjo and mandolin. He also enjoyed watching T.V. He is survived by his wife Lola (Sparks) whom he married October 29, 1957, his children Rodney Joseph Joe (Mindy) Sims of New Hampshire, Royce and (Seybert) Miller of Buckeye Lake, Brian (Carrie) Simms of Somerset; his nine grandchildren, a sister Cookie (Allen) Brown, along with many nieces and nephews. Honoring Roys wishes, there will be no visitation or local services. Graveside burial will follow in Greenbriar County, West Virginia in the spring.
