Roy Lee Stevens, Jr.

A memorial service will be held at a later date for Roy Lee Stevens, Jr., age 52, of Newark.

Roy was born July 12, 1967 in Newark, Ohio. He passed away on Friday, March 13, 2020 at Licking Memorial Hospital following a brief illness.

Roy was employed with Nationwide Insurance as a Developer. Music was his passion and he loved to play the guitar. He was known to be “ornery” and loved spending time with his family, who will miss him greatly.

He is survived by his wife, Samantha Nichole (Powell) Stevens; children, Jay Stevens, Lee Stevens, Ashley Wyler, Shane Stevens, Emily Del Rio, McKenna Harris and Sophia Stevens; parents, Roy Lee, Sr. and Sandra Stevens; and a brother, Joseph (Shelli) Stevens.

Roy was preceded in death by a son, Jordan Stevens, and the family requests that memorial contributions be made to Suicide Awareness as that is what took the life of his son.
