Roy Arthur Watson

Funeral services, celebrating the life of Roy A. Watson, 79, of Hebron, will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 25, 2021 in the chapel of The Kirkersville home of HOSKINSON Funeral and Cremation Service. Burial will follow in the Kirkersville Cemetery.

Roy passed away suddenly on September 20, 2021 at his home. He was born in Hamlin, WV, on August 9, 1942, the son of the late Arthur and Blanche (Miller) Watson. He was a graduate of Hamlin H.S. class of 1961, and had worked as Thornville Marshal, Hebron Police officer, and Licking Co deputy sheriff. Roy along with his brother Don owned and operated Watson siding for over 50 years.

He enjoyed hunting and fishing, going to turkey shoots and drag racing.

He is survived by his loving family: sons Ron Watson, Bill (Arria) Watson, daughter Kellie (Dennis) Meade; his ten grandchildren and six great-grandchildren;  former wife Sarah “Sally” Watson; sisters Faye Angle, Anne Patterson and Judy (Greg) Owens, brother Don (Barb) Watson; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings: Glenn, Wanda, and Jane.

The family will receive friends on Friday, Sept 24 from 2-4 and 6-8 pm at the Kirkersville home of HOSKINSON Funeral and Cremation Service, 285 E. Main St. in Kirkersville.
