Funeral services celebrating the life of Russell Cameron, 86, of Buckeye Lake, will be held at 12 Noon on Wednesday May 5, in the Fairmont Cemetery, Jackson Ohio. The family will receive friends on Tuesday evening from 4-7 p.m. at the Kirkersville home of HOSKINSON Funeral and Cremation Service, 285 East Main St. in Kirkersville.
Russell passed away peacefully on May 1, 2021 at his home in Buckeye Lake with his family at his side. He was born in Jackson, on September 1, 1934, the son of the late Russell and Roberta (Adkins) Cameron.
He was a graduate of Wellston High School, class of 1952, and founded his own auto dealership Russ’ auto sales in Newark along with his wife Harriett. He was a former member of the Masonic Lodge and a co-founder of the Reynoldsburg Chapter of AA. He loved spending time with his family.
He is survived by his loving daughters Carol (Dave) Tolbert and Cheryl Large; his grandchildren Shawn (Noelle) Nicholas (Greg), Randall (Amy) and Evan (Taylor); along with his great grandchildren; his only living sister Bessie Angles; and many nieces and nephews.
His loving wife Harriett and his son Russell E. “Rusty” have preceded him in death.
