Ruth Ann Burdette, 78, of Newark, died Monday, September 5, 2022, at Arlington Care Center. She was born January 7, 1944, in Hebron to the late Martin and Ruth (Priest) Kneller. Ruth graduated from Lakewood High School class of 1962. She was a life member of Pilgrim Lutheran Church which would later become New Hope Lutheran Church. She spent her working career as an insurance agent. Ruth was active in the Hebron American Legion Auxiliary and served as President several times. She enjoyed spending the winters at Lake Erling in Arkansas. She was an avid reader and loved quilting. She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Ralph; daughters, Lisa (John) Frase and Valerie (James) Fallon; grandchildren, Brandon (Renee) Carr, Leah (Nick) Abraham, Haley Starkey, Jared (Rachelle) Starkey, and Noah Frase; great grandchildren, Gracie, Gauge, Aubrey, Bailey, Rhett, and Mayzie; sisters, Mary Ellen (George) Traicoff and Shirley Hanby; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staffs at Hospice of Central Ohio and Arlington Care Center. Memorial contributions may be made in Ruth’s memory to New Hope Lutheran Church, 1137 Sharon Valley Rd., Newark, OH 43055. Visitation will be held Thursday, September 8, from 5-7pm at the HOSKINSON Funeral Home in Kirkersville and Friday, September 9 from 10-11am. The funeral service will be Friday, September 9, beginning at 11:00 am at the Hoskinson Funeral Home in Kirkersville with Pastor Mark Hartsough officiating. Burial will follow the service in Kirkersville Cemetery. Hoskinson Funeral and Cremation Service is honored to care for Ruth and her family.
