Ruth Ann Gorrell

Ruth Ann Gorrell, age 82, of Heath, passed away on Wednesday, November 10, 2021 at Fairfield Medical Center in Lancaster.

Ruth Ann was born May 31, 1939 in Newark, Ohio to the late Henry and Martha Eva (Porter) Shubirg. She was a homemaker and was formerly employed with Imperial Glass in Bellaire and Planned Parenthood in Columbus. Ruth enjoyed painting ceramics, working in her garden and tending her flowers.

She is survived by her loving husband, Walter J. Gorrell; children, Debra (Louis) Clark of Lancaster, Jeanette Clark of Lakeland, Florida and Chris (Debbie) Greenwald of Utica; four step-children; 13 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild; four brothers-in-law; one sister-in-law; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Bill Porter; two sisters, Marty Greenwald and Sally Pratt; and son-in-law, Bill Clark.

At her request, there will be no service observed.
