Ruth Casebolt Hite, born in Minford, Ohio on March 11, 1939, the youngest of 15 children. Daughter of Pina (Johnson) and John Henry Casebolt. After graduating from Minford High School, she moved to Columbus and worked for Huntington Bank, eventually settling in the Fairfield County area. She was an accomplished seamstress, and also an avid bowler, competing in bowling tournaments around the country consistently having a 180 average. She was the bowling pro at Park Lanes in Heath and retired from Whetstone Medical Clinic. She enjoyed going to lunch with her friends, bible study and especially her cat Dooney and dogs Ollie and Disney (who miss her greatly). She loved hearing about what her grandchildren and great grandchildren were doing.
She is survived by daughter Julie Whetstone (Dr. Jim), Jeffrey Hite (Amanda), Kevin Hite (Yvonne Duff), Kendra Hite (Chris Johnson), nine grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and two brothers, Kenas and Lawrence Casebolt and many extended family members.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, May 19, 2022, from 11:00 am. until time of Funeral Services at 1:00 p.m. at the Kirkersville home of HOSKINSON Funeral and Cremation Service, 285 East Main St. in Kirkersville; where services will follow at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Ron Grubb as celebrant. Ruth will be buried in the Millersport Cemetery following services.
The family wishes to thank the staff at Altercare Thornville and Fairhope Hospice for their love and care. In Lieu of Flowers, donations to Fairfield Area Humane Society are encouraged.
