Ruth Arlene Wilson

Ruth Arlene Wilson, age 83, of Thornville, passed away on Wednesday, May 13, 2020 at Newark Care and Rehabilitation. Ruth was born December 11, 1936 in Marietta, Ohio to the late Howard and Thelma Rebecca (Yanelly) Holland.

Ruth was a member of the Jacksontown United Methodist Church where she worked in the food pantry and started the first clothing pantry. She enjoyed painting ceramics at a shop in Hebron for many years and collected buttons.

She is survived by a daughter, Misty Wilson of Thornville; son, Dusty Wilson of Baltimore; grandchildren, Heather Graham and Christopher Wilson; great-grandchildren, Ryan Graham, Lyric Wilson and Iris Wilson; sister, Donnalene Griffin of Marietta; brother, Ralph Holland of Newark; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Edward Wilson, whom she married on July 16, 1955 and who passed away on December 21, 2019; and by two brothers, Raymond Holland and Melvin Holland.

A graveside inurnment service will be held at a later date at Fairmount Cemetery.
