S. Diane (Walker) Pheneger, age 80, of Granville, passed away on Sunday, December 17 2017 at Mt. Carmel East. She was born in Toledo, Ohio on October 25, 1937 to the late Edward E. and Lucille, E. (Erfurth) Walker. Diane graduated from Denison University where she was elected to membership in the History Honorary, Phi Alpha Theta. She was a member of the Granville Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution. She was also a member of the Muskingum County Genealogical Society and was a member and volunteered at the Licking County Genealogical Society. Diane established the Licking County Pioneer Project. She indexed microfilmed census records of Licking County and was a charter member of First Families of Licking County. Survivors include her husband of 57 years, Donald Pheneger, whom she married June 25, 1960; sons, Donald (Alison) Pheneger and Douglas (Beth) Pheneger; grandson, Andrew and Alex Pheneger; In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Cynthia Walker.
