Safeya Denise Hennen

A funeral service celebrating the life of Safeya Denise Hennen, age 65, of Thornville, will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 12, at the Hebron Chapel of Hoskinson Funeral & Cremation Service with Clifford Mason as Celebrant. Burial will follow in Lutheran Reformed Cemetery, Thornville.

Friends may call from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home, 108 North 7th Street in Hebron.

Safeya was born April 20, 1959 in Houston, Texas. She passed away on Friday, November 8, 2024 at Altercare of Thornville.

Safeya was a homemaker and enjoyed cooking, bird watching, her cats, tending her flowers, Anime, and especially spending time with her family and watching her boys play video games. She was a professional belly dancer who taught around the country.

She is survived by her loving husband, Tod Alan Hennen; sons, Ian Judah Hennen (McKayla Ayres) of Columbus, Isaac Joel Hennen of Newark, and Israel Jeremiah Hennen of Thornville; mother, Betty (Grantz) Young of Texas; brother, John Martz of Arkansas; sisters, Cheryl Nguyen of Colorado and Virginia Hubbell of Olathe, Kansas; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father, DeWitt Stogner.
