A funeral service celebrating the life of Sala Pearl Florence Crise, age 100, fondly known as Pearl, will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Friday, July 20, at Lighthouse Memorial Church with Pastor Bill Beard officiating. Burial will follow in Mount Vernon Memorial Gardens. Friends may call from 10 a.m.-12 p.m. prior to the service at the church, 2600 Walnut Road in Millersport. Pearl was born January 28, 1918 in Coshocton County, Ohio to the late George Franklin and Edna Odelva (Spurgeon) Ridenbaugh. She passed away on Sunday, July 15, 2018 at Country Court Nursing Center in Mount Vernon. Pearl was a telephone operator for Mount Vernon Telephone for many years. She was a member of the Garden Club and the Organ Guild. She is survived by four children, Roderick Neil (Barbara) Conkle of Melbourne, Florida, Shirley Sue Weekley of Newark, Jesse Gano (Billie Jean) Conkle of Howard and Victor Lee (Pamela) Conkle of Mount Vernon; step-children, Robert Crise of Gambier and Richard (Polly) Crise of Florida; 17 grandchildren; 40 great-grandchildren; 12 great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands, Otto Conkle and George Crise; granddaughter, Jessie Nicole Conkle; great-grandsons, Gabriel Wayne Paazig and Griffin Tyler Conkle; son-in-law, Raymond Douglas Weekley; seven brothers; and two sisters.
