Sally L. Hall

Sally L. Hall, 89, of Johnstown, Ohio, passed away on Tuesday, March 11, 2025 in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. She was born to the late Edward “Bud" and Lucy (Crist) Gill on January 2, 1936 in Millersport, Ohio.

She was a Methodist by faith, a member of the Johnstown United Methodist Church. She was a 50+ year member of the Order of the Eastern Star-Millersport Chapter 301. Sally was a graduate of Moxahala High School and achieved an Associate Degree in Accounting from Ohio University. She worked for the State of Ohio, was a teller for the Park National and Heartland Banks, and ultimately rose to an administrative role over investment accounts for Heartland Bank. She was a member of the Child Conservation League and Clan Donald U.S.A. She held the role of bookkeeper for the Perry County Fairgrounds Auction and was former treasurer of Johnstown youth sports booster clubs. In retirement,Sally enjoyed visiting family and friends, and touring outside Ohio with extended stays in Colorado, Hawaii, North Carolina, and New Mexico. She had a great interest in farming beef cattle, gardening, the NRA and the National Wildlife Federation.

Sally is survived by her children, Donald (Pauline) Hall, Lance (Sara) Hall and Bryan Hall; siblings, Mary Holter, Charlie (Joan) Gill, Patty (Bill) Wilson and Steve (Pam) Gill; grandchildren, Ashlyn, Victoria and Griffin Hall, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Harvey Hall, brothers Bill, Benny, Jim, and John and sisters Jackie and Karen.

Family and friends will be received on Saturday, March 29, 2025 at the Kirkersville Chapel of Hoskinson Funeral & Cremation, 285 E. Main St., Kirkersville, from 9:30 AM until the time of the Order of the Eastern Star Service at 11:00 AM with a funeral service to follow. Burial to immediately follow in the Kirkersville Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Sally's memory can be made to Lettuce Works, Order of the Eastern Star-Millersport Chapter 301 or the Kirkersville Cemetery. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
