Sandra Lee Stack

Sandra Lee Stack, 75, of Thornville, passed away on December 18, 2024 in Newark. She was born in Columbus, Ohio on April 1, 1949, the daughter of the late Samuel and Ruth Vollmuth.

Sandy cared for others her entire life. Kind, she possessed a servant’s heart, always giving and sharing. She enjoyed cooking and sharing meals with those who visited her home or with those in need.  She lived her Christian faith daily. She was employed as a home health aide and retired from Mount Carmel East Hospital. She attended the Christian Life Center when her health allowed. She loved gardening, canning, along with living at the lake and fishing, feeding and watching the birds.

She is survived by her daughters, Teresa (David) Brickley-Mathis, Clara (Arlie) Mills, and Lisa Smith; several grandchildren and many great-grandchildren, along with her sister, Sue Priest, and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Roger Stack; her grandson, Josh Stack; and her sister, Rose Ann Smith.

Honoring Sandy’s wishes, there will not be a service at this time. A celebration of Sandy’s life will follow at a later date.
