Sandy L. Henderson

A memorial service, to celebrate the life of Sandy L. Henderson, age 62, of Newark, will be held on Tuesday, June 24, 2014 at 3:00 PM at Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church, 383 Washington St., Newark, with Rev. Dr. Michael A. Noble officiating.Sandy was born in Zanesville, Ohio on September 17, 1951 to the late Melvin Faithful Sr. and Inez (Williams) Faithful. She went to be with the Lord at Autumn Heath Care on June 12, 2014.Sandy graduated from Zanesville High School. She received her Bachelors Degree in Business Marketing from San Diego State University. Prior to retirement, she was the executive director of the Community Development Corporation in Newark. She formerly worked for General Electric for 15 years and also managed a senior citizen living facility. She was a member of Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church and the Newark Rotary Club. She enjoyed home interior decorating and was an incredible cook, especially hosting dinners for family and friends. She will be missed greatly by all.Survivors include her husband of 41 years, John T. Henderson, whom she married in June 1973; two sons, John Cory Henderson of Newark and Jeremy (Emily) Henderson of Florida; siblings, Melvin Faithful of Zanesville, Sharon Curtis of Maryland, Phyllis Faithful of Massillon, Ohio and Gail Cutis of Zanesville; grandchildren, Gianna and Arielle; great grandchildren, Payton and Preslee; and numerous nieces and nephews.Memorial contributions may be made in memory of Sandy to Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church.Criss Wagner Hoskinson Funeral and Cremation Service is honored to care for the Henderson family.
