Sarah Louise Rock

Memorial services for Sarah Louise Rock, 80, of Hebron, will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 24, 2021 in the chapel of The Kirkersville home of HOSKINSON Funeral and Cremation Service, with Order of Eastern Star services to be held at 1:45 p.m.

Sarah passed away on January 15, 2021. She was born in Caldwell on March 18, 1940, the daughter of the late William T. and Kathleen (Kirk) Buckey. She owned and operated her own Beauty Salon at Shell Beach for many years as well as working as a hairdresser at Rock mill, The Homestead and Sterling House in Lancaster.

She was a member of Captiva Chapter #489, Order of Eastern Star at Powhatan Point, The Ladies Oriental Shrine, Buckeye Lake Eagles Auxiliary, VFW Post #1388 Auxiliary, Moose Lodge in Lancaster along with American Legion Auxiliary in Lancaster.

She is survived by her loving family: sons Samuel (Robin) Rock, J.R. (Shelley Shroyer) Rock; brothers James Buckey and Sam Buckey; grandchildren Jennifer (Quentin) Keener, Thomas, Caleb, J.T. (Tiffany) and Jarrod (Amanda) Rock; great grandchildren Mason, Cadence, Kayleigh, Kale, Sarah Grace, Thomas Canon, Tanner, Tayler, Jaxson, Carson and Eivin; along with many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother Bud and William “Toppy” Buckey and sisters Betty Wood and Virginia Ginn.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until time of services at the funeral home, 285 East Main Street in Kirkersville.

The family prefers that memorial contributions in her memory be directed to Licking Co. Agency on Aging. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
