Scott Bender

Scott Daniel Bender, 65, of Thornville, Ohio, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 26, 2012 due to a tragic fall. He had just finished one of the things he loved to do best and that was talking to people like his good neighbors. Scott was born April 9, 1947 in Fremont, Ohio to the late Earl and Shirley (Bressler) Bender.He is survived by his wife Paula, daughter & son in law Cynthia & Todd Phillips, sister Janice Conley, brothers Ted & Bruce Bender, and many nieces & nephews. He was a man with a heart of gold and was well loved by all who knew him. Due to the nature of his passing, the family of Scott asks for your prayers. They also wish to thank all who helped him journey to OSU Trauma Care Center where he received excellent care and was blessed to be surrounded by compassionate physicians and nurses.A celebration of Scotts life, honoring him, will be held at a later.In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made in Scotts name to the: Thornville Food Pantry, C/O Julia Cooperrider, PO BOX 166, Thornville, Ohio 43076
