Sean P. Bonner, Jr., 20, of Charlotte, NC, passed away on November 7, 2018, in Granville, OH. He was born on March 2, 1998, the loving son of Sean P. Bonner and Heather (nee Richardson) Bonner, and brother of Alison N. Bonner and Ryan J. Bonner.
Sean attended Charlotte Latin School in Charlotte, NC from kindergarten through high school, excelling in basketball and baseball. He graduated from Charlotte Latin in 2016, and was awarded Most Outstanding Baseball Player and the Quiet Leadership Athletic Award. Sean was attending Denison University in Granville, Ohio, where he pitched for the Denison University Men's baseball team, valued by his fellow players as a passionate teammate and an admired leader. Sean was a loving and devoted son, brother, grandson, cousin and nephew, with a warm smile and a magnetic personality. His family and his countless friends, who loved him dearly, will sorely miss him.
Sean is survived by his loving parents, Sean and Heather; his sister, Alison and his brother, Ryan; his grandparents, Henry Richardson of Daufuskie Island, SC, and Nancy Richardson of Bluffton, SC; his uncle, Paul W. Bohne IV and aunt, Cindy Richardson Bohne and cousins, Madison Bohne and Whitney Bohne of Winchester, MA; his aunt, Brianne Bonner Layne and cousin, Kiera D. Layne of Sayville, NY; his uncle, Brendan A. Bonner and aunt, Allyson Musika of Los Angeles, CA; and his uncle, Patrick D. Bonner, Jr. and aunt, Pamela P. Bonner and cousins, Patrick D. Bonner, III, Cathleen E. Bonner, Kelly T. Bonner, and Brenna C. Bonner of Shrewsbury, NJ.
The Bonner family will hold a Memorial Service in celebration of Sean's life on Wednesday, November 14, 2018 at 2:00 pm at Christ Episcopal Church, 1412 Providence Road, Charlotte, NC. A reception will follow at All Saints' Hall, located at the Church. In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that donations be made in Sean's honor to The HopeWay Foundation of Charlotte, www.hopewayfoundation.org.
