Sharon Mae Blakely

  Sharon Mae Blakely, age 82, of Newark, passed away on October 7, 2019 at Newark Care and Rehabilitation Center.   She was born on July 1, 1937 in Marion, Ohio to the late Floyd Miller and Helen (Anderson) Williams. Prior to retirement, Sharon was a therapeutic program worker with Mount Vernon Developmental Center. She enjoyed playing bingo, bowling, reading and spending time with family and friends. Survivors include her children, Michael (Patricia) Blakely and Michelle (Terry) Durbin; sister, Linda (Creighton) Oswald; granddaughter, Christina (Spencer) Balcom; great grandchildren, Joshua, Ava and Corwin; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Virgil Blakely; and daughter, Christy Blakely.
