A funeral service celebrating the life of Sharon Kay Hartless, age 76, of Utica, will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, February 15, at Criss Wagner Hoskinson Funeral Home with LaVerne Eash officiating. Burial will take place in Wilson Cemetery.
Friends may call from 4-7 p.m. on Monday, February 14, at the funeral home, 179 Granville Street in Newark.
Sharon was born January 4, 1946 in Mount Vernon, Ohio to the late Lewis Calvin and Nina Pearl (Reed) Jones. The angels came on Thursday, February 10, 2022 and took sweet Sharon to Heaven.
Sharon was a 1964 graduate of Northridge High School. She was retired and had been a caretaker for many years. Sharon was a member of the Mount Vernon Pentecostal Church and attended the Mount Zion House of Prayer. She enjoyed camping, boating, and knitting.
She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Harry T. Hartless, whom she married December 5, 1965; daughter, Linda Elizabeth of Frazeysburg; grandson, Timothy Perry; special niece, Jeanne K. Scott of Newark, and several other nieces and nephews; and five sisters-in-law.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Thomas Harry “Tommy” Hartless, who died May 12, 2017; an infant son, Harry Thomas Hartless, Jr.; two sisters; and one brother.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Foundation for Hospice of Central Ohio, 2269 Cherry Valley Road SE, Newark, OH 43055.
