Sharon Ann Houser

A funeral service for Sharon Houser will be held on Friday, October 4, 2024, at 1pm, at the Hoskinson Funeral Home in Kirkersville. Family and friends may call from 11am until the time of the funeral service at the funeral home. Josh Davis will officiate. Burial will follow in the Kirkersville Cemetery. She was born May 4, 1947, in Newark, a daughter of the late Ralph and Elsie (Hill) Fields. Surviving are her daughter, Angela (Michael) McConahay; grandchildren, Patrick and Brooke McConahay; her sisters, Mary Lou (Richard) Emswiler, Nancy Clark (Buddy, deceased) and Beth (Bob) Hoskinson and several nieces and nephews. Her brother Ralph Fields is deceased. Sharon was devoted to her family, she dearly loved her daughter, grandchildren and all of her nieces and nephews and her beloved cats. Many days she could be found talking on the telephone, lovingly known as the ‘roving reporter’, drinking a Diet Coke or eating a Louie’s Pizza. She was also a sports fan, following her grandchildren’s sports activities and the Buckeyes and the Reds and Bengals. Memorial contributions may be made to the Bella Care Hospice or the American Diabetes Association; envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
