Sharon Kay Mobley, age 68, of Thornville, and a winter resident of Haines City, Florida, passed away on Saturday, August 9, 2014 at The Pickering House in Lancaster. Sharon was born October 27, 1945 in Athens, Ohio to the late George Stanley and Ruth (Steinmetz) Love.A 1963 graduate of Whitehall-Yearling High School, Sharon was a member of AMVETS Post #51 and enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren. Sharon and her husband, Harold, owned and operated Thornport Pizza and Mobleys Concessions.Sharon was an amazing mother, grandmother and mother-in-law who always put everyone before herself and was loved by everyone.She is survived by a daughter, Tammie (Steve) Blankenship of Thornville; a son, Harold Lee (Chrissy) Mobley of Logan; grandchildren, Tyler (Mariah) Hamm, Tiffany Daugherty, Zach (Sheri) Blankenship, Michael Mobley and Logan Blankenship; great-grandchildren, Tatiana, Tayla, Landon and Kimber; mother-in-law, Mary Mobley of Newcomerstown; an aunt, Delores Butchie (Fred) Perry of Pataskala; sisters-in-law, Kay (Joe) Evans of Haines City, FL and Pat Miller of West Lafayette; many nieces, nephews and cousins; her Paradise Island family; and her faithful companion, her dog, Cassie.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Bud Mobley in 2007; and by two sisters, Georgia Winebrenner and Patty Collins.According to her wishes, there will be no calling hours or service observed.The family suggests that contributions in memory of Sharon be made to The Pickering House, c/o FairHoPe Hospice and Palliative Care, 282 Sells Road, Lancaster, OH 43130.The Thornville home of Hoskinson Funeral & Cremation Service is honored to care for the Mobley family.
