Sharon L Lieb

A Funeral Mass for Sharon L. Lieb, 76, of Thornville will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, April 21, 2023, in the Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church with Rev. Fr. William Hritsko as celebrant. The family will receive friends on Thursday, April 20, 2023, from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the Kirkersville home of HOSKINSON Funeral and Cremation Service, with Vigil Services to start at 7:45 p.m.

Sharon passed early Monday Morning, April 17, 2023, in Columbus following a six-week illness. She was born July 7, 1946, in Columbus, the daughter of the late Robert C. and Juanita (Dudley) Brock. She was a graduate of Eastmoor High School, class of 1964, and has worked for over 25 years as parish administrator at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church in Buckeye Lake, in addition to being bookkeeper for St. Leonard’s Church in Heath.

Sharon was an avid OSU Buckeye Fan, had a delightful sense of humor and enjoyed laughing with family and friends. She loved her time at casinos, especially playing slot machines.

She is survived by her loving family: her husband George W. “Bill” Lieb, whom she married on August 10, 1968, her children: Amy Kane and Aaron (Emily) Lieb; her grandchildren Samantha (Zach), Travis and Trevor Lieb; several cousins and her church family at Our Lady of Mount Carmel, where she was very active.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers Robert Brock Jr. and Jeffrey Brock, and her son-in-law Chuck Kane.

The family prefers that memorial contributions be directed to the Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
