Sharon Ann Mirra

A visitation celebrating the life of Sharon Ann Mirra, 69, of Newark, will be held on Friday, September 22, 2023 from 5:00-8:00 pm at Criss Wagner Hoskinson Funeral Home, 179 Granville Street Newark.

Sharon was born in Barnesville, Ohio on October 5, 1953 to the late Victor Junior Turner and Jeanette (Carpenter) Reed, who survives. She passed away on September 9, 2023 at the OSU James Cancer Hospital in Columbus.

Sharon was the co-owner and operator of The Humidor, along with her husband, Travis. She enjoyed cooking, baking, but most important in her life was the time she spent with her family, especially spoiling her grandchildren. She will be greatly missed by everyone who knew her.

Survivors include her loving husband, Travis A. Mirra; mother and stepfather, Jeanette and Bill Reed; children, Greg (Heather) McCarthy, Travis Scott (Lori) Mirra and Shannon (Mark) Horton; siblings, Linda (Gid) Edwards, Vicki (Mark) Allen, Alan (Robyn) Turner and Karen (Bob) Wallace; brother-in-law, Bill Braniger; sister-in-law, Anita Mirra; grandchildren, Grant, Evan, Blake, Candice, Casey, Skylar, and Cole; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by a sister, Kay Braniger and a brother-in-law, Ed Mirra.

Memorial contributions may be made in memory of Sharon to OSU James Cancer Hospital. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.

A graveside service will be held at a later date.
