Sharon S. Carson

A funeral service, celebrating the life of Sharon S. Carson, age 69, of Newark, will be held on Thursday, April 7, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at Criss Wagner Hoskinson Funeral Home with Pastor Rusty Foley officiating. Entombment will follow at Newark Memorial Gardens.Family will receive friends at the funeral home, 179 Granville Street, Newark, on Wednesday, from 5:00-8:00 p.m. and Thursday, one hour prior to the funeral service, from 10:00-11:00 a.m.Sharon was born in Newark on September 28, 1946 to the late Earl and Wanda (Davidson) Lallathin. She passed away at her residence on April 3, 2016.Sharon was an intake/paternity case manager, where she had the opportunity to hold and kiss babies with Licking County for 34 years. In 1982, she became the first domestic investigator in Licking County. She enjoyed traveling, sunning at the beach, shopping, gardening, crafting, selling at craft shows and was always an impeccable dresser. She was devoted to her family, attending Jacobs baseball games, following her grandchildrens activities, cooking, entertaining and decorating for the holidays.Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Walter and Teresa Bolton; two grandchildren, Jacob and Madison Bolton; sisters, Shirley J. Deck and June E. Johnson; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband of 31 years, Brent L. Boone Carson, whom she married July 10, 1981 and who passed away on June 27, 2012; and sister, Patty Brooks.Criss Wagner Hoskinson Funeral and Cremation Service is honored to care for Sharon and her family.
