Shawn Richard Meckley

Shawn Richard Meckley, age 46, of Newark, passed away on Wednesday, December 29, 2021 at Riverside Methodist Hospital following a brief illness. Shawn was born on December 4, 1975 in Newark, Ohio.

Shawn enjoyed painting pictures, visiting with friends, and his three cats and three dogs.

He is survived by his loving mother, Belinda Mae (Harris) Black of Newark; son, Shawn A. Meckley of Newark; daughter, Jayde M. Meckley of Newark; step-son, Anthony Johnson of San Diego, California; and aunts, uncles and cousins.

Shawn was preceded in death by his father, Michael Richard Meckley; and step-father, Phillip David Black.

A gathering celebrating Shawn’s life will be held at a later date.
