Shawn Michael Grigsby

A celebration of life service for Shawn Michael Grigsby, age 39, of Newark, will be held on Saturday, May 24, 2014 at 10:30 AM at the Criss Wagner Hoskinson Funeral Home, with Reverend Robert Pettit officiating. Burial will be held at Oak Hill Cemetery. Shawn was born in Newark, Ohio on April 1, 1975 to Faith Grigsby of Newark. He passed away at his residence on May 20, 2014.Shawn worked at LICCO for many years. He enjoyed fishing, bowling, dancing, attending church with his foster family, and especially enjoyed socializing with his friends at Gathering Place of Licking County.In addition to his mother, he is survived by aunts and uncles, Sam (Judy) Grigsby, Flora (Harry) Walker, Roger Ayers and Patrick Ayers; great aunt, Mildred Burton; great uncle, Roger Price; foster family, Brenda Grant, Fred Pettit, Douglas, Alyssa and Adam; and numerous other family and friends.He is preceded in death by his great grandmother, Margaret Ayers.Memorial contributions may be made in memory of Shawn to Gathering Place of Licking County.
