Sheila D. Mason

A funeral service celebrating the life of Sheila D. Mason, age 76, of Newark, will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, June 28, at the Second Baptist Church, 19 West National Drive, Newark, with Pastor Ralph Gordon officiating. Burial will take place in Newark Memorial Gardens. Friends may call from 5-8 p.m. on Tuesday, June 27, at Criss Wagner Hoskinson Funeral Home, 179 Granville Street, Newark, and from 10-11 a.m. prior to the service at the church on Wednesday. Sheila was born May 17, 1941 in Steubenville, Ohio to the late John and Mintie (Johnson) Robinson. She passed away on Sunday, June 25, 2017 at her home. Sheila retired from Walker Manufacturing where she had been employed for 20 years. She was an active member of Second Baptist Church. The joy of her life was her family and she loved to spend time with them. She is survived by a daughter, Shirley (Michael) Rittenhouse; son, Paul (Tina) Mason; grandchildren, Kevin (Sherry) Rittenhouse, Lisa Wheeler, Tim (Clarice) DeLong and Tom DeLong; great-grandchildren, Levi, Seth and Mason Wheeler, Corey Rittenhouse, and Schembri and T.J. DeLong; and great-great-grandchildren, Roiyal, Kyran and Laeyana Wheeler. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James P. Mason; and by a son, James Jimmy Mason; five brothers; and one sister. Criss Wagner Hoskinson Funeral Home is honored to care for Sheila and her family.
