Shirley Mae Courtright

Shirley Mae Courtright, 87, of Heath, passed away Monday, September 2, 2024 at the home of her daughter in Glenford. She was born October 26, 1936 in Springfield, Ohio the daughter of the late Guy and Charlotte (Hickman) Spence. Shirley was a graduate of Cedarville H.S., class of 1954, and retired after a long career as an associate at J.C. Penny Company. Shirley loved to work cross word puzzles and word finds. She also loved Kung Fu. Movies and eating out at her favorite two places Donato’s for Pizza and McDonalds. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Edward in 2019. She is survived by her loving family: her daughters Michelle Courtright of Heath, Sherry (Mark) Robertson of Glenford; her granddaughters Courtney (Daniel) Saum and Mollie (Andrew Curry) Robertson; her sisters Margaret Austin and Frances Young and her several nieces and nephews. Honoring Shirley’s wishes, there will be no visitation or services. HOSKINSON Funeral and Cremation Service, Thornville, is honored to care for Shirley and her family.
