Shirley J. Boster

A funeral service, celebrating the life of Shirley J. Boster, 84, of Pataskala, will be held on Tuesday, February 7, 2017, at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of The Kirkersville home of HOSKINSON Funeral and Cremation Service, with pastor Steve Dunn as celebrant. Shirley will be laid to rest next to her husband Owen Boster in the Pataskala Cemetery, following the services. She was born December 27, 1932, in St. Johns Newfoundland, Canada, the daughter of Gordon and Lillian (Peddle) Morris. Her Cinderella story started in 1951 when she met her prince charming: Owen Boster. She returned to the United States with him, following his military service. She worked for the Diebold Corporation in Hebron for over 20 years. Shirley loved to travel, especially trips to pigeon forge, was an avid country music fan, and made the best cream puffs you will ever taste. She is survived by her loving family: daughters Pam Sasso and her husband John, Cheryl Watson and her husband Mark, 10 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, her lifelong best friend Carol McCarr and her beloved pet Cabot. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Owen in 1995, her son Gordon Boster in 2016, her brother William Peddle and her sister Evelyn J. Ray.The family will receive friends on Monday, February 6, 2017, from 1:00 pm until 3:00 p.m. and again from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home, 285 E.
