A funeral service, celebrating the life of Stella M. Barrett, 92, of Hebron, will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Monday, July 30, 2012 at the Hebron home of The HOSKINSON-Schoedinger Funeral & Cremation Service, with Pastor Jerry Wiles as celebrant. Burial will follow at Hebron Cemetery.Stella died Thursday, July 26th, 2012 in Newark, following an extended illness. She was born May 31, 1920, in Dayton, the daughter of the late Frances and Josephine (Barr) Smith.She was a graduate of Stivers H.S., class of 1938; and worked as a clerk for the credit bureau.Stella was an active member of the community, enjoying her associations with friends in the Buckeye Lake, Millersport and Hebron senior citizens, Licking Co. Aging Program, Buckeye Lake Eagles, Millersport American Legion Auxillary, and Millersport United Methodist Church.She is survived by her loving family: Leroy (Sue) Schlereth of Newark, Robert (Darlene) Schlereth of Hernando, Fl., Dan (Norma) Barrett of Jacksonville, Fl., John (Jan) Barrett of Columbus, Sue Knight of Hebron, Don (Maurita) Barrett of Zionsville, In.; 12 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren, along withthree great-great grandchildren.In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a daughter, Joyce Frye, a brother and 2 sisters; along with her husbands Robert Schlereth in 1953 and Russell Barrett in 1983.Her family will receive friends on Monday from 11:00 A.M. until the time of services at 1:00 P.M. at the funeral home, 108 N 7th Street in Hebron.
