Stevan Edward Thompson, 63, passed away at his residence in DeLand, Florida on October 28, 2018, after a long battle of complications due to an electrocution on October 25, 1999. Visitation will be held at the Kirkersville chapel of Hoskinson Funeral and Cremation Service, 285 E. Main Street, Kirkersville, on Friday, November 9, 2018 from 2:00-4:00 and 6:00-8:00 p.m. Steve was born on December 14, 1954 in Circleville, Ohio to Marvene June Wallace and Melvin Dayton Thompson. He married Beth Harris on June 9, 1984 in Ormond Beach, Florida. They raised two daughters, Ashley and Amber. They moved back to Ohio in 1998 to be close to family. Steve was an avid gun collector and loved the beach. It was always his dream to retire in Florida. His biggest joy was his family and friends. He loved children, and his dog, Punkin. His family tribute to him: Steve was always kidding around, loved to keep people guessing and could always be counted on to tease the children. He loved with all his heart. If you were his friend, you were his friend for life. His is survived by his mother, Marvene Thompson; wife, Beth Thompson, daughters, Ashley Thompson, Amber Thompson, Sara Tackett and Angie Thompson; step-children, Jay Shaw, Angela Bhandari; sister, Debra Bottoni; half-brothers, Richard Alkire, Mike Alkire and Buzz Alkire; nephews, Dick Alkire, Shawn Thompson, Russell Bottoni and Christopher Bottoni; grandchildren, Anthony Chavis, Terry Climer, Tylor Climer, Spencer Vanallen, Haily Vanallen, Eden Shaw, Arlo Shaw, Eli Bhandari, Jacob Bhandari, Kenleigh Miller and Bowden Engelfield; great grandchildren, Wyatt Vanallen and Zayn Chives.
