Steven E. "Mavrick" Kirkpatrick

A funeral service celebrating the life of Steven E. Mavrick Kirkpatrick, age 62, of Thurston, will be held on Wednesday, October 19, 2016 at 7:00 p.m. at the Kirkersville home of Hoskinson Funeral and Cremation Service with Pastor Rusty Foley officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home, 285 E. Main Street, Kirkersville, on Wednesday, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m.Steve was born in Newark, Ohio on August 5, 1954 to the late Ralph E. and Eileen V. (Krumm) Kirkpatrick. He passed away at Fairfield Regional Medical Center in Lancaster on October 14, 2016.Steve graduated from Lakewood High School, class of 1972. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy. He was the plant manager at Heating at Cooling Products in Byesville and was a member of the Sheet Metal Workers Union. He was an avid Florida State football fan, enjoyed golfing, fishing, campfires and especially enjoyed spending time with his wife, children and grandchildren.Survivors include his loving wife of 40 years, Cheryl L. (Ankrom) Kirkpatrick, whom he married, July 2, 1976; three children, Shannon M. (Brandon) Owens, Andrew S. (Dyan) Kirkpatrick and Teresa L. (Thomas) Sagle; eight grandchildren, Barron, Trevor, Madelyn, Alaynna, Emma, Lincoln, Jeremy and Deziree; eight siblings, Mark, Deb, Christina, Peggy, Brad (Candy), Terry (Traci), Jerry (Allison) and Troy (Stephanie); close uncle, Walt; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.Hoskinson Funeral and Cremation Service is honored to care for Steve and the Kirkpatrick family.
