Sue Ann (Nienstedt) Alexander, 76, of Thornville, formerly of Westport, Indiana, passed away on Saturday, April 13, 2013 at Fairfield Medical Center in Lancaster. She was born on July 10, 1936, in Rushville, Indiana to the late Walter and Mary (Levi) Nienstedt. A Christian by faith, Sue was a member of the Senior Extension Club of Perry County and the Homemakers Club of Westport Indiana. In 2010, Sue was the recipient of the Perry County Homemaker of the year award. She was an avid reader, seamstress, quilter, and sports fan. She enjoyed crafts of all kinds including needle point.She is survived by her loving family: Husband, Dr. George Alexander; four children, George (JoLynn) Alexander, Angela (Ron) Hackney, Judson (Kathy) Alexander, and Marna (Doug) Clippinger; eight grandchildren Brock (Becky) Findlay, Patsy Alexander, Brandon (Fiance Deanna) Findlay, Roy (Mariann) Alexander, Mallory (Fiance Josh) Alexander, Ryan (Heather) Alexander, Carrie Clippinger, and Kaitlyn Alexander; seven great-grandchildren, a sister-in-law, Ingeborg Bennett; as well as several nieces and nephews.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by four sisters and three brothers.A memorial service, celebrating Sues life, will be held on Tuesday, April 16, 2013 at 7:00 p.m. in the Thornville home of HOSKINSON-Schoedinger Funeral and Cremation Service, 56 S.
