Sue Ann Bauman

Sue Ann Bauman passed quietly during the early morning of Saturday, July 6, 2024.

Sue was born in Kirkersville, Ohio, February 1, 1934.  She married Ernest (Mike) Bauman on July 9, 1954, in Buckeye Lake, Ohio.  Mike and Sue raised their four children in the Forest Hills community of Heath, Ohio. Sue was the consummate caregiver and quiet leader of a rambunctious and active and happy family. She ran a tight ship and a neat house, always with a sunny disposition, ready smile, and great sense of humor.

While family was always her priority, Sue very much enjoyed crafts, traveling, and gardening (both flower gardens and vegetable gardens).  Although she would never admit to enjoying cooking, Sue was nonetheless famous for her apple pies and her Thanksgiving feasts … many a recipe will survive Sue’s passing.

Sue was the last of her generation of Keller’s, preceded in death by parents Clark Nelson Keller (d:1975) and Mary Eva (Billow) (d:1971), older brother Robert Keller (d:2011), and older sisters Betty Jean Keller (Lebold) (d:2014) and Patricia Keller (Stricker) (d:2016).

Sue will be reunited in peace with husband Mike (d:2002), and sons Manual (d:1969) and Matthew (d:2024).

Sue is survived by son’s Mark (wife Cheryl), Monte (wife Kitty), and Miles (wife Christina).  Sue is also survived by grandchildren: Marisa, Heather, Nick, Josh, Nathaniel, Clark, Shandel, and Mitchell.  And by great-grandchildren, Samuel, Elise, Elijah, Riley, Amelia, Carter, Claire, and Kora.

A celebration of life event will be held at Hoskinson Funeral and Cremation Service, 285 East Main Street, Kirkersville, Ohio, on Saturday, July 20th, at 3:00 p.m. and will consist of a gathering of family and friends, a sharing of photos and stories, and a prayer service.
