Susan Joan Bender

Susan Joan Bender, age 68, of Newark, passed away on Monday, March 23, 2015 at her home. Susan was born September 28, 1946 in West Virginia to the late John and Johanna (Beck) Zigaceek.Susan was a homemaker and was an excellent cook. She enjoyed puzzles and playing games and cards.She is survived by a daughter, Pearl Bender of Newark; son, Mike (Mindy) Zigaceek of Newark; step-son, Jesse Bender of Gallipolis; grandchildren, Shawn, Jonathan, Lillie, Brandon, Michelle, Marissa, Michael, Brooklyn and Jesse, Jr.; great-grandchildren, Trevor, Tyle and Trenton; sister, Mary Lou (Lester) Addy of Massillon; brother, Bob Zigaceek of Bridgeport; and special friend, Diedre Montgomery of Newark.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Earl Bender; two daughters, Michelle Montgomery and Lillie Bender; step-son, Earl Bender, Jr.; and a brother, John Zigaceek, Jr.A private family gathering will be observed.Criss Wagner Hoskinson Funeral Home is honored to care for the Bender family.
