A Memorial Mass for Susan Jane Sullivan, 77, of London, OH, formerly of Lancaster, OH; will be held at St. Brendan the Navigator Catholic Church in Hilliard on January 29, 2022, at 10:30 a.m., with Father Bob Penhallurick celebrating. Susan was the daughter of Paul "Albert" and Helen "Elsie" (Jabs) Perrett of Litchfield, CT. Sue was born in Torrington, CT, on November 30, 1944; she died peacefully on January 14, 2022, surrounded by her family and her loving Irish wolfhound, Conan. Sue was a devoted wife of 52 years, a mother of 4, a grandmother to 10, and a friend to many. As a registered nurse for over 40 years, she dedicated her life to the needs of others. A lover of music and movies with a passion for musical theatre, she sang in church choirs and taught herself to play the piano. A consummate homemaker, she sewed her kids' Halloween costumes when they were young, crocheted afghan blankets when they left for college, and knitted little keepsakes for their babies when she was able. Her warmth and boisterous laugh, combined with her exceptional culinary skills, made family gatherings an unforgettable experience. Sue was an avid fan of detective and murder mysteries and a skilled solver of crosswords. And though raised as a Connecticut farm girl, Sue was a world traveler, having lived in Germany, Florida, New York, and the Midwest. She traveled extensively throughout Europe and considered Ireland one of the most beautiful places on earth. But above all, Sue valued the simple beauty in ordinary things, and treasured the priceless comforts of home. The vinyl records of German Christmas carols, the china cabinet filled with an army of place settings, and the cherished recipes handed down from her mother are all parts of a legacy that was centered on and will live on through her children. Sue is survived by her children: Kelly (John) Danks, Shannon (Rob) Treynor, Kerry (Rob) Beckwith, and Sean (Megan) Sullivan; her brother, Harry (Melinda) Perrett; her nephews Gary and Kevin Perrett; and her 10 grandchildren Ellen, Jack, Lily, Hobbes, Maureen, Ben, Michael, Danny, Evie and Saoirse. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Michael Riley Sullivan ('tis himself), her nephew Derrick Perrett, and her brother, John Perrett. May all the choirs of angels welcome her with joyous song.
