Suzanne Sears

Suzanne Sears, 66 of Newark, passed away on April 27, 2023 at her residence. She was born in Newark, Ohio on May 14, 1956 to the late Brice Durwood and Josephine (Lombardo) Carpenter. Prior to retirement, Suzanne was a postal carrier for the US Postal Service for 18 years. She enjoyed crafting and was an avid reader. She also enjoyed meeting up with her “swim group” friends for breakfast weekly and spending time with her loving family and friends. Survivors include her husband of 38 years, Douglas G. Sears, whom she married August 18, 1984; daughter, Stephanie (Jason) Dondrea; son, Martin (Jerrica) Sears; grandchildren, Kasyn, Kaylen, Kelyb, Joshlynn, Jordyn and Hendrix; close friends, Joann Baker and Jane Bailey; and numerous cousins and friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Paul David Carpenter and Michael Carpenter. Private funeral services will be held for the family.
