Sylvia Irene Brookbank

Sylvia Irene Brookbank, age 83, of Heath, passed away on Sunday, December 12, 2021 at the Laurels of Heath. She was born December 7, 1938 in Junction City, Ohio to the late Lloyd and Goldie (Ray) Saum.

Sylvia was a nurses aide for many years at Newark Healthcare Centre. She was a long-time member of the Christian Apostolic Church and enjoyed listening to Christian music, going to yard sales with her sisters, and spending time with her family.

She is survived by her son, Thomas A. (Kari) Brookbank of Heath; daughter, Pamela (Charles) Jackson of Newark; grandchildren, Shannon Johnson, Brandon Johnson, Christopher Sullivan, Kayli (Corey) McClain and Tyler Brookbank; great-grandchildren, Gunner Babcock, Kaedyn Sullivan, Tamaja Johnson, Shandell Bonner, Elin Osler, Vivian McClain and Dempsey McClain; great-great-granddaugher, Zenelle Bryant; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Richard Saum; and two sisters, Faye Morton and Darlene Ervin.

The family will observe a private service at a later date.
