Teddy W. Ross

A memorial service celebrating the life of Teddy W. Ross, 64, of Somerset, will be held on Thursday, December 9, 2021 at 10:30 a.m. at Spring Hills Community Church, 10625 Stone Quarry Road, Somerset, Ohio, with Pastor Ryan Tooill officiating. Teddy was born in Columbus, Ohio on May 23, 1957 to the late McKinley Bud and Laura Mae (Wolf) Ross. He passed away on December 3, 2021 at the Selma Markowitz Care Center, operated by Hospice of Central Ohio. Teddy graduated from Teays Valley High School and also graduated from The Ohio State University, where he received his Bachelor’s Degree. Prior to retirement, Teddy was the director of engineering for WOUB television station for 15 years. He also worked at WSFJ television station for 20 years starting in master control, and rose through the ranks, finishing as the vice president and general manager. Teddy enjoyed wrestling, where he was on the OSU wrestling team and also enjoyed playing the guitar. He had a great sense of humor, loved everyone he met, and will be missed by everyone that knew him. Survivors include his loving wife of 38 years, Kimberly A. (Kenney) Ross, whom he married December 3, 1983; three sons, Zac (Caitlin Corns) Ross, Gabe (Isabella Gano) Ross and Jacob Ross; two sisters, Judy Campbell and Janet McNeal; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Steven Ross. Those who wish may make memorial contributions in memory of Teddy to the Hospice of Central Ohio or the Alzheimer’s Association of Central Ohio. Envelopes will be available at the church.
