Terry Gordon Diehl

Terry Gordon Diehl, age 69, of Newark, passed away on November 1, 2024 at the Selma Markowitz Care Center (operated by Ohio’s Hospice of Central Ohio).

Terry was born November 11, 1955 in Newark, Ohio to the late Willard Diehl, Sr. and the late Erma Nell (Brooks) Diehl. Terry was a graduate of Newark High School. A veteran of the United States Army, Terry proudly served his country. He was a truck driver for Dry Creek Gravel for a number of years. Terry was a member of the Druids and the American Legion. He loved fishing, a good beer and Seagrams 7, and his Yorkies.

He is survived by his son, Terry Jason Diehl of Columbus; sister, Sheri Capitano of Newark; brother, Willard Diehl, Jr. of Newark; and sister-in-law, Laura Diehl Hysell; many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews; and special friends, Don Frankenbery and Donnie Selby.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Lois Nell Gunter.

A memorial celebration of Terry’s life will be held at a later date.
