Terry Lee Toland

A funeral service celebrating the life of Terry Lee Toland, 70, of Frazeysburg, will be held on Friday, November 18, 2022 at 6:00 p.m. at Criss Wagner Hoskinson Funeral and Cremation Service with Pastor Gary Kirkpatrick officiating. Burial will be held at a later date in Hanover Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the funeral home, 179 Granville Street, Newark, two hours prior to the funeral service on Friday, from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. Terry was born in Columbus, Ohio on October 30, 1952 to the late Leonard and Catherine (Vest) Toland. He passed away at the Morrison House, under the care of Genesis Hospice in Zanesville on November 10, 2022. Terry proudly served in the United States Army. Prior to retirement, he was a machinist with Weyerhaeuser in Mt. Vernon and worked previously as a machinist with Jeffries Mining in Columbus. Terry attended Spring Hills Baptist Church in Granville where he formerly belonged to the Awana Ministries. In his younger years, he was a volunteer firefighter; volunteered for Samaritan’s Purse, an evangelical Christian humanitarian aid organization that provides aid to people in physical need; along with being a Boy Scout Leader of Troop # 121 in Dresden. Terry enjoyed woodworking and hiking, but most important was the time he spent with his wife, family and friends. Survivors include his loving wife of 30 years, Rhonda K. (Phillips) Toland, whom he married April 11, 1992; children, Danny (Jill) Toland, Kristopher (Latoya) Toland, Kaylee Toland and Jonathan Toland; sisters, Mary Burgoyne, Kathleen Roman and Dori Proshek; and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents. Memorial contributions may be made in memory of Terry to Genesis Hospice. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
