Thomas Chris Tom Linville, age 72, of Hebron, passed into the arms of Jesus with his family by his side on Monday, September 21, 2015 at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center. Tom was born February 1, 1943 in the hollers of Powellton, West Virginia.Tom had been employed as a mechanic with Constar. He loved tinkering in the garage and could fix anything. He also enjoyed going to auctions.Tom was a wonderful family man who will be greatly missed by his wife of nearly 52 years, Sharon J. (Helsel) Linville, whom he married September 23, 1963; two daughters, Bridget (Sonny) Gentry of Mount Vernon and Tamera (David) Lewis of Newark; five grandchildren, Phalen Gentry (Chris Willis), Trisha Gentry (Vinny VanSlyke), Miles Gentry (Ashley Osborn), Chad Lewis (Kristine Blevins) and Adam Lewis. He was so happy awaiting the arrival of his first great-grandchild in December. Also surviving are a brother, Roger Weis of Colorado Springs, CO; sister, Debbie Weller (Bobby) of Reynoldsburg; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Fred Wolverton of Buckeye Lake, Madeline (Dave) Cameron of Florida, Annette Renner of Buckeye Lake, John Helsel of Galloway, Trisha Muncey (Curt Scott) of Edgewater Beach, Jill (Ron) Brown of Buckeye Lake and Teri Helsel (Eric Heyman) of Reynoldsburg; many nieces and nephews; and his companions, Tommy Cat and his dog, Baker.Tom was preceded in death by his father, Hollis Linville; his mother and step-father, Bernice (Stewart) and Ted Weis; a sister, Ruth Wolverton; a brother, Wayne Linville; and his father-in-law and mother-in-law, John and Betty Helsel.At his request, there will be no calling hours or service observed.The Hebron home of Hoskinson Funeral & Cremation Service is honored to care for Tom and his family.
