Thomas Daniel "Dan" Young

A funeral service celebrating the life of Thomas Daniel Dan Young, age 60, of Newark, will be held at 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 11, at Criss Wagner Hoskinson Funeral Home, 179 Granville Street, Newark,with Pastor Rusty Foley officiating. Friends may call from 2-5 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.Dan was born October 14, 1954 in Nuremberg, Germany to the late David Dewey and Carrie Ann Young. He passed away on Wednesday, January 7, 2015 at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus.Dan was an Electronic Technician for the United States Postal Service. He enjoyed working on classic cars, riding his motorcycle and he also enjoyed working with computers. He was a member of the HCMF Motorcycle Club.He is survived by his wife, Linda M. (Sothen) Young, whom he married July 31, 1979; daughter, Rachel OReilly (Michael) of St. Louisville; son, David Dale Andrew Young (Nicole) of Newark; step-daughter, Angela Spaulding of Newark; six grandchildren, Austin, Rika, Tanner, Kelsey, Ashley, Alex and Colton; great-grandson, Gabriel; several cousins; and his dogs, Gunther and Polly.Criss Wagner Hoskinson Funeral Home is honored to care for the Young family.
