Thomas E. Hyatt

A funeral service celebrating the life of Thomas E. Hyatt, 70, of Newark, will be held on Monday, March 5, 2018 at 10:30 a.m. Criss Wagner Hoskinson Funeral Home with Pastor Rusty Foley officiating. Burial will follow in Friendship Cemetery in Knox County. Friends may call at the funeral home, 179 Granville Street, Newark, on Sunday, March 4, 2018 from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. Thomas was born in Mt. Vernon, Ohio on September 10, 1947 to the late Lynn and Hazel (Perkins) Hyatt. He passed away at Licking Memorial Hospital on February 26, 2018. Prior to retirement, Thomas was an Auditor with the State of Ohio for many years. He was an avid reader and enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. Survivors include a son, Curtis Hyatt; twin brother, Jerald Hyatt; sister, Alyce (Jim) Poland; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by sisters, Lynne Warner and Lynda Smith; and former wife, Norma McCune.
