A funeral service celebrating the life of Thomas Henry Tommy Huber, age 69, of Columbus, will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 10, at the Kirkersville home of Hoskinson Funeral & Cremation Service, 285 East Main Street, Kirkersville, with Pastor Brian Harkness officiating. Friends may call from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will take place in Kirkersville Cemetery where military honors will be observed by the Licking County Veterans Alliance.Tommy was born April 30, 1945 in Columbus, Ohio to the late Ralph and Violet (Cooper) Huber. He passed away on Saturday, December 6, 2014 at Mount Carmel St. Anns Hospital in Westerville.Tommy attended Watkins Memorial and joined the United States Navy following high school. He was employed as a truck driver with Encore Delivery. Tommy enjoyed motorcycles, drag racing at National Trail Raceway and was an avid fan of the OSU Buckeyes. He was a lifetime member of the Amvets Post 89 in Columbus and was also a member of the Linden Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 2252 and the VFW.He is survived by a son, Tommy (Melanie) Huber of Columbus; a daughter, Wendy; grandchildren, Alexis, Devin, David, Christina and Britton; step-children, David and Toby; sisters, Linda (Gene) Godwin of Circleville and Luann (Vaughn) Smith of Groveport; and several nieces and nephews.In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Judy; and a nephew, Jeffrey Godwin.Hoskinson Funeral & Cremation Service is honored to care for the Huber family.
