Thomas Lowell Jones

Thomas L. Jones, age 84, of Millersport, OH passed away September 19, 2023. He was born May 10, 1939 in Lancaster, OH to E. Trevor and Violet (Boystel) Jones.

Tom was a 1957 graduate of Millersport High School and earned his BA in Education from Capital University in 1961. In 1966, he founded Tom Jones Insurance Inc in Millersport and worked there for over 25 years. He played basketball and baseball at both the high school and collegiate level. As a varsity basketball and baseball coach at Millersport High School, he emphasized teaching the fundamentals of the games. Tom enjoyed fishing, watching The Ohio State Buckeyes and was an avid golfer.

Tom is survived by daughters, Alecia Jones and Andrea Jones; grandchildren, Andrew Tanner and Marissa Tanner; sister, Treva Jones; stepsons, Greg Todd, Troy (Tina) Todd and Kyle Todd; grandchildren, Caleb Todd, Morgan Todd, Madison Todd and Destin Todd; sisters-in-law, Carolyn (Oscar) England and Shirley Daffin.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Marilyn Jones; in-laws, Dempsey and Grace Kent, and brother-in-law, John Daffin.

Memorial Service will be held at Hoskinson Funeral Home, 285 E. Main Street, Kirkersville,OH;, Monday, September 25 at 2:00 pm with visitation from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm.
